It's been exactly a year since my last exhibition. Since then let's just say life has been a little crazy, i had to pack up my studio to moved house, my photography business has taken off which has all made it difficult to get any painting done. This week I unpacked all my works in storage, making me miss what I spent 4 years training to do. INSTA LOVERS! . . As you have probably noticed I'm not usually one to post a sneaky selfie, it actually it feels quite foreign being the subject of interest! . . A lot of you probably don't know I balance my time between painting and working as a photographer @meaghan_coles_photography . . My passion started with painting and over the past couple of years has shifted into capturing digital stills. I have always owned a camera but my first DLSR I owned I actually traded an artwork for! . . I love how painting can be so experimental & my clients can fall in love with something so handmade... It's an awesome feeling seeing a finished piece hanging on display! . . When I am not in the studio experimenting with spray paint & mixing skin colours you will probably find me behind the lens exploring locations, drinking coffee or devouring aaallll the food & wine from the Adelaide hills! . . I am inspired by all sorts of popular imagery; my surroundings, colour combinations, and current trends in the fashion industry. . .
